Color Discovery
In order to determine the potential range of color revelation that each stone is capable of achieving, the diamond is carefully examined for the presence of trace elements – Boron, Nitrogen and the like. By ascertaining the presence of foreign particles in the diamond, we are able to predict their movement within the crystalline structure over the millennia and how – once removed from the earth after exposure to extreme pressure and temperatures – light would be dispersed to reveal different ranges of blues, greens, yellows and more.
Verification
Once the color-revealing goals for each diamond are clearly defined, our Operations Manager performs a final assessment and enters all the data into Vivial’s Color Matrix, a software application that determines the precise guidelines for recreating conditions that are necessary to mimic nature in order to unveil the required color – and provide the desired results with total predictability.
Electron Acceleration
Now certain that the chosen diamonds are the right match for their intended color, they are ready to undergo one or several color-revealing sessions in our environmentally-friendly electron accelerator facility. The ISO-compliant process is conducted with ultimate safety assurance under the strict supervision and experienced eyes of our expert team.
Final Assessment
When the stones return from the electron accelerator, they are checked meticulously to ascertain that they meet quality and color expectation standards.
